Friday Fictioneers.
I love the rain, don’t you? I went out in it yesterday and smiled at everyone I saw.
I blew a kiss at some old chap.
‘What are so ‘appy about?’ he groaned.
I broke into song. ‘I’m singing in the rain...’ I chirped.
‘Shut that bloody noise up’ said some old woman.
I spun my umbrella round and round.
‘Oy, you nearly poked my eye out’ shouted a stroppy teenager.
I saw a big puddle and I leapt into it.
‘Look what you’ve done, you’ve soaked me’ barked a poodle.
I love the rain, don’t you?

Ha.. no no.. very very few like the rain..
ReplyDeleteI mentioned your comment to the tub of geraniums on my balcony and they disagreed with you!
Deletei liked how this story progressed from start to finish. it was fresh and fanciful like the breeze on a rainy day. anyway, you're definitely an "I" specialist. and i mean it as a compliment.
ReplyDeleteSelf-deprecation - my speciality! Thanks plaridel.
DeleteDear Rosey,
ReplyDeleteI'll bet those same people would find something to complain about on a sunny day. Well, maybe not the dog. Cute piece.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I'm sure you are right! Thanks once again for hosting Rochelle.
DeleteI couldn't agree more Mick!
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! I, for one, love dancing in the summer rain (otherwise it's just too bloody cold!!)
ReplyDeleteIt's raining and it's cold right now. I 've gone off the idea now - for today anyway!
DeleteI do love the rain, Rosey! We need lots of it. It rained last night actually and woke me up. I especially like to lay in bed and listen to it.
ReplyDeleteI live at the top of a block of apartments and I too love the sound ofthe rain beating just above my head when I'm in bed.
