I feel a song coming on.....

I've changed the name of the prompt to Friday FACTioneer this week because it's a true story. I hope you don't mind Rochelle!

I tried busking as a kid. Don’t laugh, I was good ...ish! I sang in a tunnel because the echoing made me sound better!

I had three upturned saucepans which I tapped with a wooden spoon and sang songs like Little Drummer Boy and Heartbeat. Clever eh?

I didn’t earn much, a few coppers, some foreign coins and the occasional tin of soup.

I hoped I’d be discovered, and I was - but not by Simon Cowell! My mum came past with one of her posh friends – and she ignored me!

She went ballistic when I got home!

So I stopped.

  2. Ha.. I wonder how long time it took you to understand why your mom ignored you.. I would like to see a youtube clipping of that performance.

  3. Definitely would like to see that clipping too :) Though I wonder why you didn't persist. I thought you'd have been tempted to do what mom strictly forbade to do :D

  9. Ignored is better than shamed in front of a crowd, but yeah, harsh. Others passing by probably thought it was cute. Lovely memory! Did someone say birthday? Well, then may you enjoy a very Happy Birthday!
