Who needs sunshine to make you happy?

Friday Fictioneers.

I present you with a hundred words or so based on Rochelle's photo prompt.

I love the rain, don’t you? I went out in it yesterday and smiled at everyone I saw.

I blew a kiss at some old chap.
‘What are so ‘appy about?’ he groaned.

I broke into song. ‘I’m singing in the rain...’ I chirped.
‘Shut that bloody noise up’ said some old woman.

I spun my umbrella round and round.
‘Oy, you nearly poked my eye out’ shouted a stroppy teenager.

I saw a big puddle and I leapt into it.
‘Look what you’ve done, you’ve soaked me’ barked a poodle.

I love the rain, don’t you?

  2. i liked how this story progressed from start to finish. it was fresh and fanciful like the breeze on a rainy day. anyway, you're definitely an "I" specialist. and i mean it as a compliment.

  3. It's only water. I'm told we're 70% water. Difficult to see what all the fuss is about.
    Good piece.

  4. Dear Rosey,

I'll bet those same people would find something to complain about on a sunny day. Well, maybe not the dog. Cute piece.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  6. I do love the rain, Rosey! We need lots of it. It rained last night actually and woke me up. I especially like to lay in bed and listen to it.
