My kinda tonic!

This picture at Friday Fictioneers brought some memories back! Thanks Rochelle.















When I was a teenager I caught Grandpops pouring whisky into a medicine bottle! Gran disapproved of him drinking so he ‘hid’ his favourite tipples in his antique bottle collection in his man-shed. He bought my silence with a sample!

My mother took after her mother, so when she stayed with one night while their house was being mended* I had to cut back! But I made up some vodka -tonics in water bottles and put them in the fridge. Clever eh?

I thought so until my mother went for some water during the night.

She had such a headache in the morning - and so did I after she’d finished with me!


*that’s another tale!
