I bought myself a new bicycle!
I bid for it on Ebay
I need to get a basket
also a bell or a hooter
...and a crash helmet - most important!
I've been a bit reluctant to get back in (on?) the saddle since my unfortunate series of accidents in 2008 - you may remember my friend Keith wrote a slightly exaggerated account of it HERE. But you can only go so far on roller blades and they are not an ideal method of transport when shopping!
So, if you are in Eastbourne anytime soon, keep clear - you have been warned!
.
Nice bike. Rather than a basket (which tends to de-stabilise the steering) get paniers back and front (a bike shop will fit them for you). You can easily and safely carry more weight. I used to do all my shopping by bike, including a big stock-up shop at Sainsbury's, in my younger days.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea! Thank you.
DeleteI like your bike - great colours, and quite an unusual style? Definitely get a crash helmet!
ReplyDeleteOh, I certainly shall!
DeleteNice unit. Enjoy. Stay safe, though, we need you here.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be needed! I'm blushing. Thanks Ron.
DeleteCute bike! I'm not far from Eastbourne so when I visit, I'll keep an eye open for the pink bike! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll be practicing along the prom. The walkers would be advised to wear crash helmets too!
DeletePhew! I'm safe up here! :)
ReplyDeletePretty little number. Go safely!
Yes, I won't stray too far from home! Thanks so much.
