It's time for Friday Fictioneers again. This week's picture reminded me of something I did when I was eleven or twelve. I'll never live it down! Thanks Rochelle!

I thought my parents would be pleased. After all, the side wall of our house was very plain.
One day they were going out. They said I was old enough to stay home alone.
I remembered Daddy had some cans of spray paint so I thought I’d brighten up the boring wall with a sea picture.
Just as I finished my mate Charlie appeared. He got the giggles and said my fish looked phallic. I assumed that was a complimentary word like fab!
Unfortunately, Daddy was very annoyed. He had to paint over it.
Even Banksy's had that problem!
My favourite Banksy, Girl with a Balloon, was originally painted on a wall in a London backstreet. The council painted over it.

Ha.. I think that you should keep trying.. You could call the painting "Free Willie".
ReplyDeleteTut tut, you are as rude as Charlie!
DeleteLOL. Funny story. Great artists are always misunderstood. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I tell myself

DeleteCute story! That is too bad they painted over the "Girl with the Balloon." That is art!
ReplyDeleteHe went on to repaint it on other walls across the world and now's his second most reproduced picture
