I wrote this for Friday Fictioneers. Thanks for hosting Rochelle, and have a Happy New Year!
The picture is by Jean L Hays
I was sitting in a coffee bar the other afternoon when something unusual happened. I know it’s unusual for me to drink coffee rather than chardonnay when I go shopping, but that wasn’t it. No, I wrote a poem! Me! I never write poems.
Coffee strong and coffee weak,
Coffee plain and coffee tweaked.
Espresso’s black and latte’s white,
Cappuccino’s very sweek
(sweet doesn’t rhyme!).
Tea is not the same at all,
Its taste is far more silky
Earl Grey’s scented, Oolong's Asian
Herbal’s horrid, best drunk milky.
Happy New Year, Rosey. Cute poem.
ReplyDeleteShalom,
