Hello Mr Snowman!

It's time for Friday Fictioneers again! So here goes.

OK, so I’m gullible. But strange things really do happen to me. Like February in the snow-covered park when a huge snowman spoke to me. Don’t laugh, I was certain it did! It said ‘Hello Miss Pinkerton’.

Being a polite person I said hello back. A couple walking past whispered to each other and giggled! Bloody nerve.

Suddenly cheeky Charlie and naughty Nigel from my class leapt out from behind him it and bombarded me with snowballs.

I threw some back and one hit the snowman in the face. I stupidly said ‘Sorry’! Duh.

I bribed the boys to say nothing!

Once again your site refuses to recognise me.
Is it personal, do you think?

  9. Cute story! Reminds me of the time that my beloved Old English sheepdog saw a snowman and decided to protect me from it. He decimated the thing in an unusual display of aggression. He just wanted me to be safe. Those dogs do have eyes, but have little in the way of common sense. I am in NO WAY comparing you to an Old English Sheepdog, by the way. Your story just reminded me of this happy memory of good old Humphrey!

    1. A lovely story! I don't think I could rely on my cats to protect me like that!

  10. I've heard that SOME snowmen talk to SOME people SOME of the time.
This is the first time it's ever happened to someone I know.
