Friday Fictioneers. Thanks for the picture Rochelle even though it brought back unhappy memories! I'm a recent convert, and I'm so glad I found you! Here's to year four and beyond.
Three times it’s happened, THREE TIMES!
I hate driving on motorways, and trains are expensive so I often travel by coach.
Last year I got on the wrong one and ended up in Southampton, not Northampton.
In April, I meant to go to Gatwick airport and inadvertently caught the Heathrow coach.
In December, I booked a trip to a Belgian Christmas Market. Whilst on the ferry I went up on deck for some sea air, and when I went back down I – you’ve got it – climbed aboard the wrong coach and went to France instead.
Next weekend I’m going to London – by taxi!
.
This sounds like my life!
ReplyDeleteOh good! Then it's not just me!
DeleteSomehow this sounds like a true story!
ReplyDeleteWell, actually........!
DeleteHa, but it could be fun to find some random places.... :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's .....interesting!
DeleteYou leave the reader wondering if this is fact or fiction. Great style.
ReplyDeleteI wonder?
DeleteThis is funny. It could happen to me, too, our bus terminal is pure chaos.
ReplyDeleteVictoria Coach Station in London is huge and confusing! Nightmare place!
DeleteSounds like a great way to travel, really. It just makes packing the right outfits a little annoying.
ReplyDeleteToo right. I always take jim-jams incase I don't make it home!
DeleteYikes! I think taxi is a wise idea....unless you get someone who doesn't know the way. :-)
ReplyDeletejanet
Funny you should say that! Another story, another day!
DeleteWelcome to the club. We are never lost, merely temporarily misplaced. (Do you remember how to get to the meetings? Neither do I.) Fun read.
ReplyDeleteLove that! I can use that phrase in quite few regular situations.
DeleteDear Rosey,
ReplyDeleteI hope your taxi driver knows his way around. I've had trips like this. Fun read.
Shalom,
Rochelle
The usually ok in London, but down here on the coast you get taken on some very odd journeys!
DeleteI think your heroine has a negative sense of direction... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think you are right!
DeleteThis sounds very much like someone really could be speaking from personal experience :) Sometimes that sort of thing makes the best story.
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe, plus a fair dollop of artistic license!
DeleteBut isn't that great, always a surprise at the end of the road! Loved it. :D
ReplyDeleteThe story of my life! Thanks Loré.
DeleteChuckles. Reminds me of someone I know. Me to a large extent :-)
ReplyDeleteYea! So it's not just me! Cheers Graham.
Deletetaxi could be expensive. sometimes getting lost is good for you. it leads to new discovery. :)
ReplyDeleteWise words! Actually my taxi driver got lost the othr night!
DeleteOh Rosey, you poor thing. Bless your heart.
ReplyDeleteGetting lost so many times? daydreams? Nice one.
ReplyDeleteIll-planned.... But what great adventures! Enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I saw that happen to a man who hopped on our bus. We had been to a protest rally and were all wearing similar clobber. We were one person short and seeing this chap on the side of the road the bus driver stopped and told him to get in. He did. Turned out he was supposed to be going to Dubbo about 500 miles the opposite direction
ReplyDeleteFrom one directionally challenged traveller to another - well told.
