The great escape!

I'm going to have a go at this week's Sunday's Whirligig!

The words are light, dark, gone, fragments, leaves, eye, theft, erotic, dream, change, watch, and clock.

It was so embarrassing. I was keeping my dear mother company as Daddy was away on business for a few days.

“Let’s watch a video for a change” she said plucking a DVD from her handbag. “I found this in your father’s wardrobe and I’m wondering why he hid it. It must be pretty special”

“Hey Mummy, that is theft!” I quipped.

She turned out the light (she says it's more like being in the cinema) and fumbled unsuccessfully in the dark for the slot in the player. Light back on, disc in, light off, disc upside-down, light back on, disc out and back in again, light off and we were away.

Seconds later, she was choking on her popcorn. “It‘s one of th-th-those exotic f-f-films” she stammered.

From behind the cushion covering my face, I said “Erotic Mummy, erotic” I suggested she turn it off, but she was clearly beginning to enjoy it! It was like a bad dream.

“I need to keep my eye on the clock Mummy" I said. “In fact I have to leave now. I’ve got to... got to... well I have to go”

She squinted at her watch. “But the night is young darling” she said.

“And you are not Mother dear” I said. “This could give you a heart attack!”

Minutes later, I was gone. Phew!

  5. Sorry I am commenting so late, I was busy with a lot of old DVDs to sort out to take to church fete. So I had to remove my name sticker from a few of them.
